The V13 gen2 is Vanguard Audio Labs' flagship large diaphragm tube condenser, designed with the character of vintage tube mics in mind while using modern tech to engineer a stunning mic that captures every detail thanks to Vanguards famously low tube microphone noise floor (now even lower with the V13 gen2!).

Gorgeous Sound

The Vanguard V13 gen2 is silky, detailed, and warm, everything you could want from a LDC tube mic. It has a smooth top end that can be compared to a 251 or C12 with the body and low end weight of a U47 or U67. Featuring nine selectable polar patterns via the external PSU, the V13 gen2 is extremely versatile and shines on all sorts of sources, from vocals and acoustic instruments to drum overheads and even room mics, the Vanguard V13 gen2 is a true workhorse.

Overspecced by Design

Featuring an extra large 34mm edge-terminated, gold-sputtered Mylar dual-capsule that's been hand tuned for the V13's custom voice alongside a circuit with premium, overspecced components and a hand selected European tube - The Vanguard V13 gen2 is engineered to deliver a sound well beyond its price point! Vanguard spared no expense with their upgrades, using low-noise audiophile-grade resistors, Neutrik connectors on all points and an ultra-linear, fully shielded, custom-wound, dual-bobbin humbucking transformer for the output stage to drive long cable runs, making the V13 gen2 one of the quietest tube microphones ever made.

Vanguard also uses deep cycle cryogenic treatment on their critical components to improve the lifespan and performance of the V13, this thing is built to last.

Accessories

The V13 gen2 comes with a VLSM Heavy-Duty Shockmount with an open front so you can position the mic as close to the source as necessary, a stylish pine storage box, and a black aluminium locking carry case to keep your V13 gen2, power supply, cables and accessories all in one place (includes a slot for a spare vacuum tube).

For those who like to experiment with different tubes: 12AX7, 12AT7, and 12AY7 tubes all work with the V13 Microphone.
