The FlexBar from Royer holds two mics on a single stand, but it goes above and beyond the traditional stereo bar. While the FlexBar certainly does allow for stereo pair configurations such as Blumlein and ORTF, it also facilitates other creative dual mic positions, for example, being able to mic the top and bottom of a snare drum or the soundhole and 12th fret of an acoustic guitar from a single mic stand — with this accessory, positioning is easier than ever while saving precious studio floor space. Raising the stereo bar
With its engraved gradient centimetre markings, the Royer FlexBar can provide precise microphone placements for traditional spaced pairs, ORTF, and Blumlein stereo mic configurations. However, it also allows you to do things like simultaneously mic an acoustic guitar and a vocalist — from a single mic stand.
