Austrian Audio OC18 Cardioid Condenser Microphone

The Austrian Audio OC18 is the fixed cardioid sibling to the OC818, sharing the same handcrafted Vienna build but built around a single-diaphragm CKR6 capsule rather than the OC818's dual-output design. Austrian Audio's Open Acoustic technology minimizes internal resonance for a cleaner, more accurate capture, and every OC18 is measured and matched at the factory, so any two OC18s (or an OC18 paired with an OC818 running in cardioid mode) will pair up consistently for stereo work straight out of the box.

The OC18 features a 3-position high pass filter (40Hz, 80Hz, or 160Hz) and a switchable pad (-10dB or -20dB) for handling loud sources without distortion. The OC18 works great on drum overheads, guitar cabs, vocals, and pretty much anything else you'd point it at.

Every OC18 and OC818 is factory matched and measured to a tight tolerance, so any two OC18s, or an OC18 paired with an OC818 set to cardioid mode, will match up reliably for stereo work straight out of the box.
