Eight Channels of Console Excellence
At the heart of the ASP880 are eight of audients Class A Console Mic Preamps. These are the exact same circuits found in Audient's flagship ASP8024-HE desk, providing 60dB of clean gain for all your recording needs. These preamps are designed to be accurate but still musical with a hint of analog warmth.

Eight industry leading Burr Brown converters are packed into this 1U unit. Burr Brown converters are synonymous with pristine, high end conversion.
Standalone ADC Mode: The ASP880 is so flexible that you can bypass the preamps entirely to use the converters with your other gear. Using the ADC balanced line inputs, you can use the ASP880 as a standalone eight channel converter to connect other external preamps. This also provides a path where you can insert outboard gear such as EQ & compression between the mic pres and ADC, incredibly useful!
Great Tone Shaping Options
The ASP880 gives you great control over each preamp's settings. It features variable input impedance giving you three different sounding options, perfect for ribbon mics. Alongside that, each preamp lets you control your signal with a variable high pass filter, tightening up your low end, sweepable between 25hz and 250hz resulting in a clear signal with higher headroom.

The ASP880 also features two harmonically rich JFET DI's on channels 1 and 2, designed to replicate the harmonic input stage of a valve amp.
