At the heart of the C114 is its edge terminated, gold sputtered capsule inspired by the legendary AKG C12 and C414 microphones. These edge terminated capsules are known for their smooth high end and present bass, giving your recordings that gorgeous airy sound. No matter what you're recording, the C114 captures the air and detail you need without sounding harsh.
Your New Versatile Workhorse
The transformerless FET circuit of the C114 allows for a wide dynamic range thanks to its ultra low noise floor and a maximum SPL of 145dB. While Integrated cardioid, figure eight, and omni polar patterns allow for great versatility to excel in any placement you put the C114 in whether it's capturing loud drums and guitars, nuanced vocals or the faintest whispers.
Eco Friendly Design and Accessories
The C114 has been designed with sustainability in mind. The microphone bodies are made entirely from recycled PIR metals and alloys. The accessories have been engineered to minimise environmental impact and the packaging is fully recyclable.
The AKG C114 comes with its own H84 shockmount, ready to record right out of the box.
