The Radial ProD2 is a high quality stereo passive DI box, essentially two of Radial's ProDI boxes built into one compact enclosure, designed for connecting stereo keyboards, samplers, drum machines, or other high-output instruments to a PA system or recording setup without adding noise or distortion.
At the core are two custom-wound Eclipse ET-DB2 transformers, rated for a linear 20Hz–18.5kHz frequency response. Because transformers saturate gently rather than clipping hard the way active circuits can, the ProD2 rounds off extreme peaks in a way Radial describes as acting like a subtle limiter, useful with digital pianos, samplers, or drum machines that can throw out unpredictable dynamics. Transformers also naturally reject the hum and buzz caused by ground loops.
Each channel includes a -15dB pad for taming hot sources like active basses or high-output keyboards, a ground lift switch for troubleshooting noise, and a 1/4" thru output so you can still feed a stage amp while sending a clean balanced signal to the PA or recording rig. The whole unit is built into Radial's rugged 14-gauge steel enclosure.
