Audient EVO SP8 8-Channel Smart Preamp with AD/DA Converters

The Audient EVO SP8 is a great addition to any studio, it's an 8-channel preamp expander, built to add eight more mic inputs to any interface with ADAT connectivity, useful for scaling up to record a full drum kit or band without replacing your existing interface. It works with any ADAT equipped interface from any brand.

Each of the eight EVO preamps offers 58dB of gain and is digitally controlled rather than adjusted via a traditional analogue pot, which is what enables Smartgain: a single button press analyses all eight input signals and automatically sets safe, optimal gain levels across every channel in under 20 seconds. It's particularly useful when tracking solo, or soundchecking a full band quickly without having to adjust gain on each mic individually. Two of the eight inputs double as JFET instrument inputs, so you can DI your guitar or bass without. needing a seperate DI box.

Control runs through Audient's Motion UI with a single control knob, showing real-time metering, channel status, and settings on the screen without needing to look at a computer. Pair two EVO SP8 units with an EVO 16 interface and you get 24 channels of Smartgain-enabled preamps working together as one system. The unit itself is compact at just over 14 inches wide, built into a solid steel chassis with detachable rack ears (sold separately), and comes with Audient's ARC software bundle.
