Amphion Two15 Passive Two Way Studio Monitor - Single

Amphion monitors are GOBIRD's favourite! GOBIRD have used Amphion speakers paired with the Amphion Amp700 at our studio (Cordial Studios) since 2022. Amphion monitors have a perfect balance of clarity and detail without being fatiguing to your ears over long sessions. They are revealing enough to make critical mix decisions while still being beautiful to listen to for when you'd like to jam some music. The mix translation you get from Amphion monitors is great, you'll find yourself testing mixes much less on other systems because of the confidence Amphion monitors give you.

The Two15 steps up from the One15 with a taller MTM (mid-tweeter-mid) driver layout: two 5.25" aluminum woofers and a 1" titanium tweeter. This arrangement improves vertical dispersion compared to a conventional two-driver layout, while Amphion's signature low 1600Hz crossover and CNC-machined Corian waveguide keep the same time-alignment and phase-coherence benefits found across the range.

On the low end, the Two15 uses a pair of passive radiators on each monitor instead of a bass port. Passive radiators work on the same principle as a reflex port (a sympathetic resonance that extends low-frequency output) but does so via a second, motor-less driver rather than a tuned air column, avoiding the turbulence and chuffing that a port can produce at higher volumes. Amphion positions the Two15 as a natural step up for engineers who want more bass extension and headroom than the One15 offers, while keeping the same neutral, low-coloration character the range is known for.

The dual drivers provide a fuller and more focused low-end coverage than the One15's. Recording Mag's Paul Vnuk Jr says: "The low end of the Two15 is laser focused and thumps you square in the chest like a fist."
